Target Information

Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP1A is an enzyme belonging to the FKBP family, which are known as peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerases. FKBP1A catalyzes the isomerization of proline bonds in other proteins, influencing their conformation and function in various cellular processes. It is encoded by the bovine gene FKBP1A. FKBP1A was first discovered as a receptor for the immunosuppressant drug FK506 in immune cells and is critical for several tumours and cancers.
