Target Information

Exostoxin 1 (EXT1) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). EXT1 is one of two endoplasmic reticulum-resident type II transmembrane glycosyltransferases, the other being EXT2. These enzymes play a crucial role in the chain elongation step of heparan sulfate biosynthesis. It may be a promising novel target to overcome cancer cell stemness in anthracycline-based therapeutic resistance.

Target/Biomarker Bovine EXT1
Target Synonym Exostosin-1; EC 2.4.1.225; N-acetylglucosaminyl-proteoglycan 4-beta-glucuronosyltransferase
Gene ID 538602
