Target Information
Bovine Ectonucleoside Triphosphate Diphosphohydrolase 1 is encoded by the ENTPD1 gene in cattle. It is an ectonucleotidase that scavenges pro-inflammatory ATP and ADP into AMP. It efficiently hydrolyzes ligands such as ATP, ADP, UTP, and UDP. It is also known as CD39. ATP creates a pro-inflammatory environment, while degradation of ATP into adenosine by the CD39/CD73 pathway leads to an anti-inflammatory environment. And it is one of the key mediators of the purinergic pathway.
