Target Information

ECHS1, also known as Enoyl-CoA Hydratase, Short Chain 1, is a mitochondrial enzyme that plays a crucial role in fatty acid beta-oxidation. ECHS1 catalyzes the hydration of 2-trans-enoyl-coenzyme A (CoA) intermediates to L-3-hydroxyacyl-CoAs. Bovine Enoyl-CoA Hydratase, Mitochondrial is encoded by the ECHS1 gene in cattle. It plays an important role in fatty acid metabolism pathways. It is involved in breaking down medium- and short-chained fatty acids.

Target/Biomarker Bovine ECHS1
