Target Information

Cathepsin C (CTSC), also known as dipeptidyl peptidase I (DPP-I), is a lysosomal exo-cysteine protease belonging to the peptidase C1 protein family, which is a subgroup of the cysteine cathepsins. Cathepsin C exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer and is glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored to the renal brush border of the kidney. Bovine Dipeptidyl Peptidase 1 is encoded by the CTSC gene in cattle. It is involved in apoptosis and is significantly upregulated in cattle-yak.

Target/Biomarker Bovine CTSC
Target Synonym cathepsin C; dipeptidyl peptidase 1; DPP-I; DPPI; cathepsin J; dipeptidyl peptidase I; dipeptidyl transferase
