Target Information

Bovine Cadherin-13 is encoded by the CDH13 gene in cattle. This gene encodes a member of the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein is localised to the surface of the cell membrane and is anchored by a GPI moiety rather than a transmembrane domain. The protein lacks the cytoplasmic domain characteristic of other cadherins and is therefore not considered to be a cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein. It has been reported to be associated with milk cholesterol in cows.
