Complement C1q/Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Protein 9 (CTRP9), also known as C1QTNF9, is a newly discovered adipokine that shares structural similarities with adiponectin. Bovine Complement C1Q Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Protein 9 is encoded by the C1QTNF9 gene in cattle. It is a member of C1q/TNF-related protein family which contains a collagen-like domain and a C1q-like domain and are classified as adiponectin paralogs owing to their structural similarities to adiponectin.
