Target Information
Bovine β-Endorphin, an endogenous opioid neuropeptide and hormone, is produced in specific neurons within the central and peripheral nervous systems. During bovine uterine inflammation, plasma β-endorphins increase. Studies suggest that these endorphins may inhibit the inflammatory response of bovine endometrial cells, likely through δ opioid receptors, indicating their role in modulating inflammatory processes. Additionally, β-endorphin has been identified as an agonist at bovine pineal δ-opioid receptors, suggesting a broad range of regulatory functions within bovine physiology.
