Target Information
Bovine Breast Cancer Anti-Estrogen Resistance Protein 3 is encoded by the BCAR3 gene in cattle. The protein contains a putative src homology 2 (SH2) domain, which is a hallmark of cellular tyrosine kinase signaling molecules. BCAR3 has been studied in breast cancer for its role in anti-estrogen resistance and breast cancer cell proliferation. It is also known to be expressed in B-cells, colorectal cancer, and has been shown to function during development.
