Target Information

Bovine Arginase-1 is encoded by the ARG1 gene in cattle. Arginase-1 is found in various tissues, including the liver, where it regulates urea production. It is also expressed in other cells, such as macrophages, where it influences immune responses. Activated ARG1 function has been reported to compensate for unrestrained inflammation by producing cytokines that suppress NO-mediated inflammation and cytotoxic immune responses.
