Target Information

Amphiregulin is encoded by the AREG gene in cattle. Research has shown that AREG stimulation of bovine cumulus-oocyte complexes glycolysis and BMP15 preservation of gap-junctional communication may facilitate efficient transfer of metabolites from cumulus cells to the oocyte thereby enhancing oocyte developmental competence.
