Target Information
AP-1 Complex Subunit Beta-1 (AP1B1), also known as adaptor protein complex AP-1 subunit beta-1, is a protein involved in protein sorting within the late-Golgi/trans-Golgi network (TGN) and/or endosomes. AP1B1 is a subunit of the clathrin-associated adaptor protein complex 1 (AP-1). This complex mediates both the recruitment of clathrin to membranes and the recognition of sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules. Bovine AP-1 Complex Subunit Beta-1 is encoded by the AP2B1 gene in cattle. It was reported to be related with milk yield in Holsteins.
