Target Information

Angiopoietin-1 (Angpt1) is a growth factor produced by various cell types within the body. It is a secreted glycoprotein primarily produced by: vascular support cells, specialized pericytes in the kidney, and hepatic stellate cells (ITO cells) in the liver. Bovine Angiopoietin-1 is encoded by the ANGPT1 gene in cattle. It is an angiogenesis and cellular modelling pathway-related factor which may contribute to the maintenance of vessel stability throughout early corpus luteum formation.
