Target Information

Bovine Fructose-Bisphosphate Aldolase B is encoded by the ALDOB gene in cattle. It is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in fructose metabolism. It belongs to the class of fructose-bisphosphate aldolases. Aldob is highly expressed in the liver, kidney, and small intestine. It negatively regulates Akt activation, which is necessary for Aldob-induced suppression of cancer cell proliferation, glucose uptake, and metabolism for tumorigenesis.
