Bovine Adenosine Deaminase-Like Protein is an enzyme that deaminates certain adenosine analogs, potentially playing a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation. It is found in various tissues, including the brain, liver, and kidneys. It is encoded by the ADAL gene in cattle. The C(alpha) backbone of bovine ADA is mostly superimposable on that of mouse ADA, although mouse ADA itself did not lead to a solution by molecular replacement.
