Target Information

Bordetella holmesii is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium belonging to the genus Bordetella. It is characterized as asaccharolytic, oxidase-negative, and nonmotile, and it produces a brown pigment. Initially identified as an invasive bacterium isolated from the blood of immunocompromised individuals, Bordetella holmesii can also be found in the respiratory tract.
