Target Information

Avian Pathogenic E. coli (APEC) is responsible for causing avian colibacillosis, which leads to economic losses in the poultry industry due to increased morbidity, mortality, and carcass condemnation, as well as negatively affecting poultry welfare. Serotype O1 is among the most common APEC serotypes linked to colibacillosis.
