Target Information

Amyloodinium ocellatum is a globally widespread ectoparasitic dinoflagellate that affects various aquatic organisms in both brackish and marine environments. This parasite poses a significant threat to both farmed and aquarium fish, as it can cause amyloodiniosis-a severe infection that may result in the host's death in under 12 hours, with acute morbidity and mortality rates reaching nearly 100%.
