Target Information

Acetamiprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide used to control pests in a wide variety of crops. It is relevant to animal-origin food safety because of its potential for residues in edible animal products. This can happen through two main pathways: direct application to animals to control external parasites, or more commonly, through the carry-over effect, where animals consume contaminated feed derived from treated crops. The residues can then accumulate in the animal's tissues, milk, or eggs.
